3 Girlies in Wellies
How are you all doing? We all have to look after ourselves at the moment, and we want to share with you how we have been looking after ourselves mentally and physically over the last few trying months.
We were really excited at the start of lockdown to be offered an allotment......we had been on a waiting list for ages and was jumping up and down with joy when I got the phonecall to say I was next on the list......the only problem was a broken knee at the same time! Arghhhhh!!! Nothing like great timing.
But, I have a secret weapon......what's that you ask?....well, I have 2 wonderful daughters that are as homely and grounded as I am. So, they were as excited as me the first day that we went down to the allotment, red wellies and spades in hand.
I'm no gardener, but you know what? I'm giving it a go....
Granted, it's flipping hard work, but just 4 months on, we now have bumper crops of rhubarb, raspberries, strawberries, potatoes, beans and way to many courgettes.....note to self, plant less courgettes next year hehe!
But, we are loving every minute, not only being outside in the fresh air (yes it was allowed as exercise during lockdown) but it has brought us as a family of 3 girlies so much closer together.
If you will allow me, I would like to share our journey with you and some of the wonderful recipes and changes to lifestyle that it has brought to us.
I will be keeping this blog up to date with ideas and tips, so hope that you will enjoy reading as the days and months go on.
So that's us....3 girlies in wellies!
